Celebrating 32 years in business as of 2022, RARA Electronics has evolved into a professional high-power resistor manufacturer. Specializing in metal-clad wire-wound high-power resistors, Rara's products are flexible, durable, and adhere to international materials specifications such as RoHS and WEEE.

Starting at 60W and reaching a powerful 2800W model, Rara's resistors meet UL and IP65 certifications. The wire-wound element configurations efficiently absorb large amounts of pulsed power with safety features. Housed in aluminum cases for added durability and enhanced heat conduction, Rara's resistors come in various configurations, including vertical, horizontal, flat, and narrow.

Standard features include "easy attachment" tab terminals, with options for flying leads and "L" terminals. Additional options encompass non-inductive windings and thermostat installation, ensuring Rara's resistor range can meet diverse high-power requirements, even in challenging applications.

Current Sensing Resistor: RARA's shunt resistors, initially designed as custom orders, come in a wide range of sizes, packages, and power ratings from one to one thousand amps. Standard applications include battery management systems, ECU, ABS, EPs of automobiles, electricity meters, panel meters, BLDC motor drives, and AC/DC motor controllers. Since 2008, we've supplied shunt resistors capable of handling power ratings from 100 up to 1000A, specifically designed for electric vehicle testing and design.

Precision Thin Film Resistors: Rara's high-precision, thin film resistors achieve a standard TCR of 2ppm/°C using a Ni-Cr-Si alloy spattered onto an alumina substrate. Operating temperatures range from -55°C to +125°C, demonstrating excellent long-term stability, low current noise, low voltage coefficient, and low thermal EMF. Applications include discrete voltage dividers, industrial measuring equipment, control systems, medical electronics, ATE, aerospace, and reliable power electronics.

Additionally, RARA introduces a new automotive resistor for electric vehicles (EVs), the IRBT models. These metal-clad, wire-wound resistors are designed for vehicles, including electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). Specifically, these resistors control inrush current through Power Relay Assemblies (PRAs).
