About Celduc

: The Groupe Celduc®, along with its subsidiaries celduc® transfo and celduc® relais, holds a prominent position in the global industrial automation market, specializing in magnetic proximity sensors and power transformers. Founded and headquartered in Sorbiers, located in the Loire department, Celduc enjoys recognition in nearly 60 countries through its extensive network of sales subsidiaries, specialized distributors, and seasoned representatives. At celduc® relais, the company excels as experts in solid-state relays and magnetic sensors. Annually, Celduc takes pride in producing over 1 million relays sold worldwide, showcasing French industrial expertise and "100% made in France" quality. A significant portion of their turnover, approximately 15%, is attributed to innovation in solid-state relays and magnetic sensors, facilitated by the comprehensive and independent management of Celduc's R&D, test laboratory, marketing team, and manufacturing facilities.

In 1965, Celduc swiftly diversified its product range with "Reed" relays, compact low-current switches highly regarded for their exceptional service life during that era. The advent of semiconductors in the early 1980s posed a challenge to this economic success. However, Celduc Group, including Celduc Relais for its electronics division, strategically transitioned to magnetic sensors, where the utilization of "Reed" technology proved advantageous. Presently, celduc® relais stands as the sole remaining French manufacturer of "Reed" relays and ranks among the world's leading authorities in magnetic proximity sensors.

The introduction of the first solid-state power switch in 1971 marked a significant milestone. Despite the initial lukewarm reception of the renowned "Reedac," it served as a pivotal catalyst for the subsequent triumph of solid-state relays at Celduc.

Since then, Celduc has experienced uninterrupted success, marked by consistent expansion of its factories, occurring approximately once every five years. Notable milestones include the launch of the iconic okpac range in 2002, with over 500,000 units produced annually, and the groundbreaking automation of Celduc's welding operations in 2012—a pioneering feat within the realm of solid-state relays. Despite intensifying competition, Celduc Relais remains and will continue to be the foremost global specialist in solid-state relays for many years to come.
