Semikron IGBT Drivers
Drivers form the vital interface between power transistors and controller. It cannot be emphasized enough that it is the choice and design of the electronic drive circuit that will ultimately determine the performance of an IGBT. For this reason, the performance of the driver is closely linked with the degree of reliability of a converter solution.
Inadequate driver power or the wrong choice of or poorly designed drive circuits can cause both modules and the driver – and ultimately an entire system – to malfunction.
