For over 35 years, Amidon has specialized in manufacturing components for high-frequency applications, including ferrites such as toroidal cores, ferrite beads, and ferrite rods. Amidon’s ferrite toroids are designed to filter interference efficiently and unobtrusively. Their cylindrical shape and magnetic properties help uniformly distribute excess energy, allowing proper voltage management and signal separation. This ensures smooth and optimized product performance.

Toroid cores, also known as ferrite rings or toroidal ferrite cores, are small MnZn-based soft ferrite cores that offer high magnetic efficiency and resistance to external magnetic fields. With a uniform cross-section area, they can have different coatings to enhance performance.

Toroids: Cables can often be assembled through the larger center opening, even with pre-installed connectors and plugs. Multiple cable turns through the center yield greater suppression and allow fine-tuning of circuits. Ferrite toroids provide high magnetic efficiency due to the absence of an air gap and a uniform cross-sectional area. Magnetics® toroids come in various sizes (outside diameters from 2mm to 140mm) and materials (permeabilities from 750µ to 15,000µ), with different coatings available to enhance winding ease and voltage breakdown resistance.
