COMPONENTS CORP TP-104 Series, Color Coded Test Points

The Components Corp TP-104 Series takes Components Corporation's highly efficient and economical loop configured test point design one step further, by adding a plastic standoff that boosts visibility and allows for easy polarization and identification. The TP-104 incorporates all of the design features of all Component's test points - solid non-slip grip of test clips and probes, low profile, single hole wave-solderable mounting, and the elimination of skin punctures suffered by users of wrap posts as substitute test points.

The Components Corp TP-104 comes in 30-position breakaway strips with 0.125" centers, simplifying storage, handling, and even tandem installations. The specialized hand tool #1040 enhances board mounting by enabling test point separation, gripping, and positioning in a single motion. Standard TP-104 colors are red and black, with special colors available upon request.

Miniature, compact, and multipurpose loop styles are available for non-slip, safe circuit testing with J hooks, EZ hooks, grabbers, alligator clips, tips, or probes. These space-saving designs come in ultra-low and low profile options for high-density PCB applications, as well as high profile designs for hard-to-reach areas. They are suitable for 0.063" (1.57mm) PCB thicknesses, offering a practical alternative to wire-wrap posts and turret terminals.

The Components Corp TP-104 can be ordered pre-cut to any number of positions up to 30. Individual and tandem units hold securely when inserted in .062" diameter holes for soldering operation. The rectangular passage in the Components Corp TP-104's molded standoff maintains wire form alignment, important in tandem installations.

Features

Featuring a unique hybrid mounting style, these test points combine the efficiency of SMT contacts with the strong and durable solder connections of thru-hole mounted devices. The new test point includes a locating pin design for positive location during assembly. When installed on 0.03" thick boards, the locating pin can also serve as a solder point for thru-hole mounting operations.
