Hammond Manufacturing
Hammond Manufacturing has been operating for one-hundred years, with deep historical roots. The business started in a backyard workshop in 1916 located in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. In 1917, the original company known as O.S. Hammond and Son was established in Guelph. O.S. Hammond and Son began making tube radio sets, battery chargers and other related products between 1919 and 1927. In the early 1930's Hammond became the first company in Canada to manufacture a line of 2-post racks and a narrow cabinet to support the growing broadcast and communications industries. The explosive demand for electrical products of all kinds during the 1950's and 1960's created many opportunities for new products and diversification. During these years Hammond became a leading supplier of transformers, racks and cabinets as well as enclosures for the electrical and electronic industries.
In 2000, the Hammond Transformer Division, separated to become a new independent company, Hammond Power Solutions, Inc. (HPS). HPS manufactures custom and catalog transformers and related magnetics. The reorganization enabled both companies to pursue their strategic goals independently. The core products for Hammond Manufacturing continue as electrical and electronic enclosures, racks and cabinets, power bars and electronic (low-voltage) transformers.
Hammond Manufacturing Co. is a manufacturer of a wide range of standard electronic enclosures and transformers, since 1917. The Electronics Group manufactures general purpose, hand-held and instrument enclosures in plastic (either economical styrene or high impact, flame retardant ABS), aluminum, die-cast aluminum and steel. A complete line of chassis and accessories is also offered. Hammond is a publicly traded company on the TMX (HMM.A) and is headquartered in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Hammond has offices around the World, including facilities in Canada, USA, UK and Taiwan. Hammond offers a broad range of standard products, modification services and technical support to electrical and electronic manufacturers, utilities and institutions through a global network of agents and distributors.

High Frequency Reactors
Designed for high-frequency filtering applications, has operating frequency range of 60Hz to 10kHz, Hammond Manufacturing 197 Series High Frequency Reactors have an operating frequency range of 60Hz to 10kHz and are designed for high-frequency filtering applications. These reactors utilize a high permeability carbonyl iron powder core material ideal for applications under 50kHz. Other features include high self-resonant frequency values from 72.4kHz to 1452kHz, 20% peak-to-peak ripple current, and 2000VRMS or 2500VRMS dielectric strength. Some models provide universal channel-mount packaging with flexible insulated leads (6" minimum). Other models offer rugged construction with an aluminum base and stainless steel band, along with open-style terminals for maximum versatility. Hammond Manufacturing 197 Series High Frequency Reactors are RoHS compliant and offer an operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.
