LEMO’s Push-Pull Self-Latching System Connectors

LEMO's Push-Pull self-latching connectors are designed for quick connection changes, taking just a few seconds. In critical applications like medical technology, this feature can be crucial in emergencies.

Specifications

  • Engaging: The connector mates when the plug is simply pushed into the receptacle.
  • Latched: Once latched, the connection is secure and cannot be disengaged by pulling on the cable or any component except the outer release sleeve.
  • Disengaging: The connector is disengaged by pulling on the outer release sleeve, which releases the latches and allows the plug to be withdrawn.

Key Features

  • Quick and easy unlocking by pulling the cable
  • Change connections in seconds
  • Reliable data transmission
  • Maximum operating reliability
  • Mechanical and optical keying

The LEMO connector, known for its effectiveness, is widely used across various industries. To mate the connectors, align the red indicator dots and push the cables together. The connection locks into place and won't release by twisting or pulling any component other than the outer release sleeve. To disengage, pull on the outer release sleeve, which releases the latch and withdraws the plug.

Important Usage Notes

  • To release, grab the knurled release and pull it back.
  • Do not pull the cables apart without using the release, as this can damage both the cable and the sensor.
  • Twisting the connector instead of pulling can also damage the equipment.

LEMO’s original Push-Pull self-latching system has been an industry standard for over 75 years, known for its quick and secure mating system, capable of thousands of mating cycles. The ‘chocolate bar pattern’ is a recognized symbol of the brand.

Exceptional Quality, Scalability, and Modularity

LEMO offers a vast range of original Push-Pull connectors, known for their scalability and modularity, from ultra-miniature to larger sizes. Despite evolving requirements for reduced footprint and weight, there is no compromise on quality or reliability.

Multiple Configurations, Including Hybrid Types

Push-Pull technology is suitable for data, signal, power, and other applications. The cylindrical shape supports a wide range of body styles, materials, and configurations, from low to high voltage, multi-pin, coaxial, triaxial, fiber optic, thermocouple, and fluidic/pneumatic media, with over 90,000 possible combinations, including hybrid/mixed types.

Suited for All Working Conditions

Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, LEMO connectors can withstand extreme conditions, including water and dust hazards, with waterproof ratings up to IP68.

LEMO ORIGINALS

LEMO high quality push-pull connectors are found in a variety of challenging application environments including medical, industrial control, test and measurement, audio-video, and telecommunications. There are five main series within the "ORIGINALS" connector family to suited to your applications

  • B: Indoor keyed
  • K: Outdoor keyed
  • T: Small Outdoor keyed
  • S: Indoor Stepped Insert
  • E: Outdoor Stepped Insert

LEMO is a global leader in circular Push-Pull connectors, utilized in demanding environments such as medical, industrial control, test and measurement, audio-video, and telecommunications. The B Series, known for being dust-proof, is the most popular for indoor applications, while the K Series, watertight and designed for outdoor use, is equally favored. Both series feature self-latching mechanisms, multipole configurations (ranging from 2 to 64 contacts), and alignment keys. Additionally, LEMO's E-Series and S-Series connectors are widely recognized for their reliability and versatility.
