SEASTROM Standard, Round Flat Washers & Shims

Seastrom is the original manufacturer of stocking washers. In addition to our comprehensive catalog of standard round flat washers, we have thousands of stock tools to produce any non-standard flat washer sizes our customers may need. There is no tooling charge for non-standard sizes within the following parameters:

  • ID (Inside Diameter): .020" to 3.00"
  • OD (Outside Diameter): .050" to 4.00"

Seastrom can manufacture custom washers in all industry-standard thicknesses using our state-of-the-art stamping department, and we can accommodate non-standard thicknesses with our extensive machining capabilities. Even if a thickness is not listed in our online catalog, we can produce standard washers in all industry-standard thicknesses.

To specify a thickness not listed for a Seastrom standard part number, follow this example:

  • 5710-10-XXX (thickness)
  • Add -5 for .005" thickness, -10 for .010" thickness, etc.
  • Example: 5710-10-5

Ansi Standard Flat Washers

  • Type B Plain Washers (ASME B 18.21.1 Edition 09-2009) are available in narrow, regular and wide series for each standard screw size.
  • The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) provides standards for general use flat washers. Type B is a series of flat washers with tighter tolerances where outside diameters are categorized as Narrow, Regular or Wide for specific bolt sizes.
  • Available screw sizes from 0 to 1”. If a specified screw size is not listed please email a quote request.
  • Metallic materials available: Aluminum, Brass, Beryllium Copper, Copper, Phosphor bronze, Steel (cold rolled steel), Stainless steel, Titanium.
  • Non-metallic materials available: Acetal, Fiberglass, Fibre, Neoprene, Nylon, Polyethylene, PTFE.

Metric Flat Washers

  • Seastrom standard metric washers meet the ANSI B18.22M standard for soft material flat washers. Part numbers are provided for the Regular category, but Narrow and Wide can also be quoted to meet your requirements.
  • ID – Inside dimensions from 1.95 mm to 17.52 mm
  • OD - Outside dimensions from 4.7 mm to 44 mm
  • Thk – Thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 4 mm
  • Metallic materials available: Aluminum, Brass, Beryllium Copper, Copper, Phosphor bronze, Steel (cold rolled steel), Stainless steel, Titanium.
  • Non-metallic materials available: Acetal, Fiberglass, Fibre, Kapton, Mica, Mylar, Neoprene, Nylatron, Nylon, Phenolic, Polyethylene, PTFE, PVC.

Shim Flat Washer

Unlike typical washers that distribute loads for fasteners, shim flat washers are used to set clearances, adjust heights, or fill gaps in assemblies.
