Diptronics Slide Switch

Diptronics slide switches are high-quality and incorporate double wipe sliders to ensure effective contact wiping. These switches are rated at 0.5A DC and 3A AC, 125V non-inductive. They are available in 2 and 3 positions, locking and non-locking styles, up to 4 poles, with solder or PC terminals. Most are UL and CSA recognized. Slide switches are electromechanical devices used to control current flow in a circuit path. These switches are actuated by sliding a mechanical switch. Key characteristics include circuit type, contact timing, switch function, current rating, voltage rating (AC or DC), and actuator type. Actuator types include baton, flush, illuminated, plunger for cap, push-pull, recessed, rocker knob, screwdriver slot, snap-on cap, and standard.

Slide switches are mechanical devices used to control electrical circuits through a simple sliding action that moves the switch between open and closed positions. As maintained-contact switches, they remain in one state until manually actuated to another state.

A common construction is the single pole, double throw (SPDT) slide switch, which allows power to be swapped between two sources (on-on operation). Moving the slide switch actuator redirects the current flow from one circuit to another. Single pole, single throw (SPST) slide switches provide on-off functionality, while double pole, double throw (DPDT) switches allow for on-off-on configurations. Multiple throws for multi-on-on functionality are also possible but can make precise positioning challenging.

Diptronics Manufacturing Inc., founded in 1985, is a certified IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 manufacturer specializing in DIP, tact, rotary, slide, detector, multi-functional, micro, and illuminated switches. Since 1993, the company has established five major production sites in China (Zhuhai, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, and Zhongshan) and one in Vietnam (Hanoi). With complete in-house production lines, including press, injection, plating, mold processing, LED bonding, and automatic machine assembly, Diptronics ensures timely delivery and superior quality. Their switches are sold in over 100 countries worldwide.

Diptronics Slide Switches

Standard Slide Switches

Modern switching requirements demand higher current ratings, more positions, more poles, higher durability, and various actuation methods. Diptronics has expanded its product line to meet these diverse requirements across many industries.

Miniature Slide Switches

Diptronics miniature slide switches are available in one to four poles and two to five positions, switching up to 8A at 125VAC. They come in maintained and momentary versions with side, top, or end actuation. Additional options are available upon request.

Micro Miniature Slide Switches

Diptronics microminiature slide switches are rated up to 1A at 125VAC and are available in one or two poles with two or three positions. Designed for PCB or panel mounting, these switches offer low contact resistance.

Fully Enclosed Micro Miniature Slide Switches

These switches are capable of switching up to 0.05A at 125VAC, with fully enclosed electrical contacts for protection from hostile environments. They are micro miniature in size, available in one pole with up to two positions.

Power Slide Switches

Diptronics power slide switches accommodate higher current devices within the popular slide switch platform. Options include SPST or SPDT circuitry, traditional metal or fully enclosed plastic construction, and snap-in or chassis mount styles.
