Sumitomo Chemical Electronic Materials, U.S.A. (SEMI) was established in 2003 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Chemical Co. Ltd. and chartered to serve the USA electronics, semiconductor, energy, and other IT Related industries. SEMI manufactures customized epitaxial wafers using proprietary Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition processes. It also specializes in grinding of engineering plastic resins and additives for the aerospace industry. SEMI’s other products and services include photoresist and high purity wet chemicals, polarizing film, optical sheet, polymer LED and OLED displays, Lithium Battery Separators, High Purity hydrated Al, and LCP and PES engineering plastic resins.
